For 12 years, WholeHeart has been Living on the Learning Edge, as our tagline has promised.
Together, we have gathered and greeted, welcomed and wondered, convened circles, opened doors, and found many ways to practice deep listening in community and in connection with the world around us - circle by circle, breath by breath.
As we close the structure of this small and hearty non-profit, we affirm the many seeds planted and spread, the many voices raised, connections cultivated and ways of knowing explored. Thank you for reaching out and sharing stories of what this work is seeding in your own lives - from circles to inspiration, friendships to new directions. Keep building the heart-fires with care and community! We have a world that needs light to see by.
We share a few images of the journey as a final organizational acknowledgement, rather than stats, reports, or a final reckoning of our deliverables. We wish this “Poetry of People and Places” invites you to reflect on the lingering question for these times:
How might we keep listening
with our whole hearts
to what is present
within us and
between us?
While that is not what our program materials or grant requests promised, it is what has been at the heart of this work - a 12 year experiment on what is exchanged when we make space and time to let one another in to the many layers of being human..
May we all keep living on the learning edges of what we know and keep welcoming the many voices and the many ways of living that ignite and nourish the whole.
