“Throughout the natural world there is an intimacy of things with each other. The intimacy of the wind and the soaring raptors, the rain and the vegetation, the sea and the shore. So too the intimacy of the bee with the flower, the intimacy of the bluebird parents with the newly hatched young. We are part of an Intimate Universe. “
- Thomas Berry
WholeHeart and the Sisters of the Earth Community invite you to circle back round in person with the land of the Green Mt. Monastery to listen with the land to explore layers of relational living:
Exchange - honoring lived / live experience and what is emerging beyond our knowing
Practice - engaging with reciprocal relations with the many beings with whom we share space, time and encounters.
Listen - inviting our earth bodies into layers of relations with the land of the Green Mt. Monastery.
If you are seeking ways to deepen your relations with all species, including a small circle of human beings and seeing yourself as a part of the larger planet, we welcome you to gather in August.
Schedule: Arrive to settle in on Friday afternoon at 1 pm with the land and a small circle of community. Together with beings of this place, we will savor the arc of time to deepen relations and listening through reciprocal protocols and practices, allowing time individual ramblings, small group gathering and shared reflections. On Sunday we will honor our journey and feast together, resurfacing into home Sunday afternoon at 3.
Sleeping Arrangements: We will be hosted by the land. Please bring a tent to tuck into the land and a sleeping bag to sleep close to the earth.
Food: Simple abundant feasts will welcome us on Friday and Sunday brunch, featuring local produce and offerings of the land. On Saturday, we invite you to eat lightly as we dive into listening to the bodies of the earth and ourselves..
Cost: $525 covers meals, monastery, and facilitation. Scholarships are available. More details in the registration form.
Mobility: Please know this retreat is centered with the earth and requires the ability to walk the land on uneven ground and camp outside. Please discern if your body is ready for this adventure.
