Winter is the season of deep listening. Begin the new year, not with resolutions and to-do’s, but with mindful practices to reignite your curiosity and contemplation. This time of deep darkness provides the perfect container for renewal and seeds of wonder.

A Circle of Trust® Retreat:

A Circle of Trust is a unique opportunity to slow down and renew and kindle one's courage.  Circles of Trust are based on the work of Parker J. Palmer, a remarkable teacher and author (A Hidden WholenessLet Your Life Speak, The Courage to Teach). This retreat is facilitated by two nationally trained C&R facilitators, committed to the intention of reconnecting who we are with what we do.

The retreat will provide:

  • Space to nurture personal and professional integrity and the courage to act on it

  • Seasonal reflections to tap into your inner wisdom in the fertile darkness of winter

  • Opportunities to develop receptive listening practices to expand your inner capacity to lead a more authentic, meaningful & engaged life

  • Whole group, small group, and individual time to build connection with ourselves & others.

  • Practices to explore soul & role in light of our professional and personal lives

  • An opportunity to bring life questions to a Quaker style Clearness Committee

The Cohort is facilitated by Carol Egan and Holly Wilkinson, trained Courage & Renewal Facilitators.

Holly Wilkinson is a Courage & Renewal Facilitator and Executive Director of WholeHeart Inc. Her experience includes international and higher education, women’s entrepreneurial training, youth leadership, and non-profit management. Creative expression and fostering circles of connection are important aspects of her work in the world. Holly lives on a dead-end dirt road in Northern Vermont, savoring earth, imagery and all that arrives.

Carol Egan has facilitated Courage & Renewal retreats in Vermont since 2008. For many years she has worked in health, education and leadership and is now a special educator serving children ages 3 to 12 years old in Northwest Vermont. Carol is especially interested in the ways in which creative activities can be integrated with reflective practices for learning and leading.
