Rupture & Emergence: A Circle of Trust (virtual)

Rupture & Emergence: A Circle of Trust © - Virtual

April 12 - 14, 2024

I take a deep breath and sidestep my fear and begin speaking from the place where beauty and bravery meet—within the chambers of a quivering heart.
— Terry Tempest Williams

This retreat offers space to take a deep breath and collect nourishment for your bravery and being in the tension of these times.

This spring, we invite you to take time to listen to what is alive in you just after the solar eclipse of the new moon in April, a potent time for identifying new patterns, clues, and practices to sustain you in the shifting energetics of these times. How do we ground and strengthen ourselves in these times of great rupture, while remaining open-hearted and relational?

Together in community from our various ecosystems, we will step into a pattern of reflection to explore life questions in generative ways.

In this time of retreat, we will:

  • Explore & deepen our unique ways of knowing

  • Dive into the relational dance of rupture & emergence

  • Strengthen our roots through embodied practices

  • Create a personal guidebook for the season ahead

  • Share generous listening space for collective pollination to support our journeys

This virtual Circle of Trust© retreats offer a unique opportunity to slow down, renew, and kindle one's courage. Centered on relational justice practices and based on the work of educator and activist, Parker J. Palmer (A Hidden Wholeness, Let Your Life Speak) and the Center for Courage & Renewal, each circle brings together core practices of reflection and connection to strengthen our courage to be ourselves and see the wholeness and humanity in others.

Facilitators:

Holly Wilkinson is a Circle of Trust© facilitator trained by the Center for Courage and Renewal who has been offering courage work for 10 years. Holly brings a commitment to listening, creative expression, and an appreciation of spring’s wisdom. This past year has involved a lot of rupture with the end of life of her mother and stepfather, and her long-time cat companion, Sage. Holly has found courage practices to be good companions on the journey.

Marybeth Redmond is well-acquainted with rupture too. She served as a Vermont state representative during the three years of the COVID pandemic, witnessing the fragility of people and crumbling social systems, while navigating her own health crisis. She is an interspiritual minister certified in spiritual direction. Marybeth is passionate about holding sacred space for the soul to speak, an essential element for weaving Beloved Community together.

Ally Oswald has been a member of the Vermont Courage Cohort for over 14 years, has apprenticed facilitation for 2, and co-facilitated for 4.  She has been integrating Courage into the public school setting in Southern Vermont.  She brings a commitment to Courage work and a deep appreciation for creating reflective space, extending welcome for depth and humor to support diving deeply into learning edges to cultivate the courage needed in these times.
