Please join us on for an evening of reflection and connection. This year has been full of losses with the pandemic and racism raging. We are carrying a lot in our heads and hearts that needs digesting and honoring. Join us as a way to move attention to our hands that know how to hold and create.
DATES (attend as many you wish):
April 25, 7-8:30PM EST
May 23, 7-8:30PM EST
We will make small story books to honor what we are grieving and what we grateful for. Bring your questions, your knowings, your needings to be held in light of these times and in community. There will be time to greet, time to create, and time to listen and share in small groups, as desired. Come for yourself and feel free to invite others who have shared this year’s journey with you. All ages are welcome. Register below.
What to you have at your fingertips:
A few pieces of 8.5X11 paper
A pair of scissors
Your prefered way to create - be it with colored pencils, crayons, or paints; a glue stick and magazine/calendar or card clippings; or a simple pen. Your call.
A favorite playlist if it encourages your creative juices
No artistic skill needed. There is no one-way to create, nor pressure to find words - only a welcome & willingness to weave stories to hold in your hands as a way of healing and honoring. The first hour will open creative space. The final half hour will offer optional time for story sharing.
Holly Wilkinson & Natanya Vanerlaan co-facilitate these evenings. Exploring clues has become our practice of healing, making sense of what is percolating within, and sending love and gratitude out into the world. We offer this practice of book making as a way to gather stories of grief and gratitude and make space for what is showing up as we listen and create. We warmly welcome you.
Contributions are welcome - of your presence & your support.
